Protocols for People

Students, staff and faculty must follow the Ohio Department of Health guidelines: What to do if you have COVID-19 (PDF).

Anyone who tests positive or is required by a health department to either quarantine or isolate, is forbidden to come to the NEOMED campus or participate in any clinical rotations until released by their local health department.

Students, staff and faculty are required to send a message indicating they tested positive to the NEOMED COVID tracking team at covidreporting@neomed.edu. Please note that the team’s role and that email account is for reporting positive cases only.

Students must also fill out the University Student Absence Reporting Form to make Student Services aware of their absence so they can notify college leads and the assessment staff. Students may direct questions (not answered in ODH guidelines) about exposure and symptoms to Student Services at semerick@neomed.edu.

Employees must also notify HR of their positive result by emailing hroffice@neomed.edu. Employees may direct questions (not answered in ODH guidelines) about symptoms and exposures to hroffice@neomed.edu.
