Pre-Medical & Pre-Pharmacy Programs
Students who are interested in pursuing a care in health care can become involved in one ore more of our educational and enrichment programs. These pre-medical and pre-pharmacy programs are designed for those interested in medicine or pharmacy and allows them to learn about these fields and career paths prior to entering NEOMED or entering a career in health care.
AHEC Scholars Program
The AHEC Scholars Program invites you to discover interprofessional team-based education dialogue and experiences to enhance access to quality health care in your community.
The program is designed as a supplement your existing health professionals program to learn interprofessional team-based education with both urban and rural populations in underserved communities.
The Anatomy Academy at NOEOMED is a two-week immersive anatomy institute that offers a fun and challenging experience working along experts in the field in state-of-the-art laboratories and facilities. Designed for both students and adult learners, this low stakes learning opportunity will allow you to broaden your knowledge and skills under the guidance of Dana Peterson, Ph.D., an award-winning, nationally-renowned professor of anatomy and neurobiology.
The Brain Bee is a neuroscience competition for high school students, 14-18 years of age. This live Q&A competition that tests the neuroscience knowledge of high school students. Students will compete to determine who is the “Best Brain.”
Tutoring will occur the second Saturday of every month beginning in August with the competition taking place on January 16, 2021.
MEDCAMP is a three-day immersive experience designed to stimulate students’ interests in the basic sciences and medicine and to expose them to career opportunities in those fields. The program provides a “hands on” experience through biomedical science workshops involving research, clinical problem-solving and an introduction to the field of clinical medicine.
NEOMED College of Pharmacy Discovery Days are the perfect opportunity for anyone who would like a customized campus tour as well as personalized time with NEOMED faculty, staff and students. Discovery Days are a great way to become familiar with our campus as well as our NEOMED pharmily in a small group setting. This is a great program for those looking for a more individualized experience.
Undergraduate college students are invited to join our Pre-Pharmacy club at any time! The NEOMED Pre-Pharmacy club meets monthly offering both an in person and virtual option. Joining our Pre-Pharmacy club provides members with an inside look at the profession of pharmacy as well as a chance to network with current pharmacists and student pharmacists. The best part- there’s no cost to join!
Pharmacist Shadowing Program
Shadowing experiences are a terrific way to get a deeper understanding of the pharmacist’s role on the healthcare team. We invite high school students and college students to submit a request to shadow one of our many alumni and faculty who are practicing in diverse areas of pharmacy. Our alumni and faculty offer shadowing experiences in areas such as pediatric pharmacy, emergency medicine pharmacy, psychiatric pharmacy, and so much more!
Student Ambassador Shadowing Program

Our Student Ambassador Shadowing Program allows you to experience a day in the life of a current NEOMED College of Pharmacy student! No matter where you are in your academic journey, you’re invited to submit an inquiry to get a feel for what pharmacy school is like at NEOMED.
Early Assurance Program
Would you like to get a head start on starting your journey to becoming a pharmacist? NEOMED College of Pharmacy’s Early Assurance program allows you to do just that. Eligible high school seniors, college freshmen, and college sophomores are encouraged to apply to our Early Assurance program to secure their seat in our college of pharmacy. Accepted candidates will experience exclusive perks such as access to a NEOMED Peer Mentor and invitations to attend events on campus.
